Lore Desktop Client
It does have a desktop client and it took me an embarrassingly long amount of time to find.

It's... /Incredibly barebones/...
When i say barebones i really mean barebones even a feature such as "open in explorer" is not added.
It basically works the same as github desktop if you've ever used that. But what this means is its still utterly insufficient for the artists I'd normally work with. and some custom tooling might be needed.
it does have a cool merge resolution tool
and it has a cool ui for branches
